Bafana Bafana vs Bulgaria – A Draw at Orlando Stadium in Soweto

Teko Modise - 50th Game for Bafana

Bafana Bafana impressed last night in a sterling performance, holding Bulgaria to a draw at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

Siyabonga Sangweni opened the scoring for the hosts, before Valeri Bojinov’s equaliser saw the honours shared.

Teko Modise – Looking Good

Throughout the match, Bafana Bafana looked comfortable and fit, always moving forward, putting together some great moves. For most of the match, The Boys kept possession and managed to control the play, but struggled to create any decent goal-scoring chances, although there were many good shots at goal, including the great long shot by Teko Modise.

Head Coach Carlos Alberto Parreira (CAP) has worked miracles with this depressed and unfit group of young men who kept losing match after match under the leadership of his predecessor Joel Santana.

What we are seeing on the filed now, is a completely different ball game, literally.  Just looking at the activity on twitter, it is obvious to see how delighted fans are to see Bafana playing real African football again.
