After this weekend’s two MTN 8 Wafa Wafa Semi Final matches, Golden Arrows will meet Ajax Cape Town in the MTN 8 2009 final.

Golden Arrows beats AmaZulu

This is a very big day for the Durban club, Golden Arrows who have booked their places in a final of major competition for the first time since they won promotion into the PSL in 2000/01 season. And they did it with a  with a convincing 2-0 victory over neighbours AmaZulu at the Chatsworth Stadium, Durban. The goals were scored by Joseph Musonda and Njabulo Manqana

Score: Golden Arrows 2 – 0 AmaZulu

Golden Arrows advance to MTN 8 final – 4-1 on aggregate.

Ajax Cape Town Edge out Kaizer Chiefs

In the second semi-final on Sunday 23 August 2009 Ajax edged out Chiefs at the Orlando Stadium after the two teams drew 3-3. But Ajax Cape Town will advance to the Final 4-3 aggregate winners.

In what will go down as one of the most exciting matches of the season, four goal were scored in the first half – two by each team.

Ajax Cape Town advance to the MTN 8 Wafa Wafa final – 3-4 on aggregate.
